My Braces Journey

My dentist told me that I needed some cleaning (scaling & polishing) and also filling before I can start on my braces.

SECOND VISIT: CLEANING
I did scaling and polishing so that we can start on clean teeth!
Cost: $30 ($80 without CHAS card)

THIRD VISIT: 2ND CONSULTATION
Cost: $24.50

I got back my mould and xray pictures. I was supposed to bring my mum along as well so we can discuss together with the dentist on my preferred choice. In my case, which is to either extract 4 teeth, or just go without extracting but my dentist would help to file my teeth smaller to make space! Thank goodness they gave me another alternative, unlike the previous dental centre that I went to. Anyway, my dentist told me go back and think about the options before letting her know the final decision. 

The reason why I chose the latter (NO extracting) is because if i were to extract, my face shape would change. For the better or the worse, I really don't know. As you can see below, my jaw bone is more protruding than others (I got it from my dad). It would turn out to look even more protruding if I were to extract. Hence, I stuck with just filing to make space (and to spare me the pain as well HAHA)
